Children's Eco-Vacation'23

At the height of summer, the Directorate of Persina Nature Park traditionally launched an educational practice for children "Children's Eco-Vacation'23". The classes include a set of lessons with an ecological orientation on topics previously selected by the experts in the directorate, related to biological diversity in the park and environmental protection. The purpose of the lessons is to draw attention to the problems related to the protection of species and nature, and also to popularize the activities of the directorate. The lessons are held with the children enrolled in the summer activities at the Municipal Children's Complex in Belene and the "Sveta Marta" Center for Community Support in Belene. Classes are held both outdoors and in the Persina Nature Park visitor center. They are adapted to the age of the children and the knowledge of the subject that is developed in the lesson.
"Children's Eco-Vacation" this year started with the theme of the rules that people need to comply with when resting or walking in the wild. The children were explained what they can do in the protected areas and what a reserve means. The ecologically oriented lessons at the PNPD continue until the end of August. The topics to be considered are related to: fish migrations; the conservation of Danube sturgeon fish; the insects; amphibians and reptiles; wetlands and many others.
